The authentication function of the Printer allows administrators to manage the
Printer and its users.

The authentication function allows the administrators to administrate the Printer
operations such as:
- To change the Printer settings;
- To initialize the Printer; and
- To acquire log information,
which are not allowed to non-administrators with the function.

Individual users of the Printer are issued a unique authentication code (a PIN code
or login name and password). When a user operates the Printer, the authentication
code is required to identify the user.
With the authentication function, users without an authentication code cannot
operate the Printer.
