Restricting the Available Rolls
To simplify the Printer operation, you are recommended to restrict the roll paper
sizes required for operation. The following explains the procedure when you intend
to operate only with the A0 and A1 rolls.
(1) Set the paper size standards
Set the roll that you intend to use to On in Paper Size Standards (
&
page 99).
Set the rolls that you will not use to O.
For example, if you want to operate only with the A0 and A1 rolls:
A0 Roll = On
A1 Roll = On
A2 Roll = O
A3 Roll = O
Set as above.
(2) No paper or paper runs out
If paper runs out while the Printer is printing, a message prompting paper setting
may be displayed on the operation panel. However, prompts are not displayed for
rolls set to O in Paper Size Standards.
(3) Optimal mode
When Paper Supply Mode is set to Optimal (
&
page 111), the Printer
automatically selects the roll to produce the least wasted paper among the rolls set
to On in Paper Size Standards. are available. When the roll that will produce the
least wasted paper is not set in the Printer, a message prompting paper setting is
displayed on the operation panel.
