Version-related Information
This appendix describes the relationship between the unit versions of the G9SP-series Safety Controllers and
the versions of the G9SP Configurator, the ability to back up and restore data with a Memory Cassette for dif-
ferent unit versions of the G9SP-series Safety Controllers, and the functions that are supported for different
unit versions of the G9SP-series Safety Controllers.
Relationship between Unit Versions of the G9SP-series Safety
Controllers and G9SP Configurator Versions
There is a correspondence between the unit versions of the G9SP-series Safety Controllers and the versions
of the G9SP Configurator. Whenever possible, use the corresponding versions.
Unit Versions of the G9SP-series Safety Controllers and Corresponding
G9SP Configurator Versions
The following table gives the versions of the G9SP Configurator that correspond to different unit versions of the
G9SP-series Safety Controllers.
Note No version is displayed in the hardware settings of the G9SP-series Safety Controller for versions 1.00
and 1.10 of the G9SP Configurator.
Non-corresponding G9SP-series Safety Controller and G9SP
Configurator Versions
The following operation will occur when the version of the G9SP Configurator does not correspond to the unit
version of the G9SP-series Safety Controller.
Using an Older G9SP Configurator Version
If the version of the G9SP Configurator is old, you will not be able to online and to Configure the G9SP-series
Safety Controller from the G9SP Configurator.
Example: G9SP-series Controller with unit version 2.0
G9SP Configurator version 1.10
Version 1.10 of the G9SP Configurator supports unit version 1.1 of the G9SP-series Safety Control-
lers, but it does not support unit version 2.0. If you use a G9SP-series Safety Controller with unit
version 2.0, use G9SP Configurator version 2.00.
