9-5 Setting Tag Data Links
Tag data links are set by using the Network Configurator. Use the following procedure to start the Net-
work Configurator.

Refer to the CS and CJ Series EtherNet/IP Units Operation Manual (Cat. No. W465) for more
details on the use of Network Configurator.
With NJ/NX-series CPU Units and NY-series Industrial PCs, you can use the Sysmac Studio
to set up tag data links. For details on how to set up tag data links with the Sysmac Studio,
refer to the user's manual for the built-in EtherNet/IP port on the connected CPU Unit or
Industrial PC.
Starting from the I/O Table Dialog Box in CX-Programmer
To start the Network Configurator, select the Unit in the PLC I/O Table Dialog Box and select either
of the options for Start Special Application from the pop-up menu. Only operation will be started
even if Start with Settings Inherited is selected.
Starting from the Windows Start Menu
To start the Network Configurator, select OMRON - CX-One - Network Configurator for Ether-
NetIP - Network Configurator from the Windows Start Menu.
When the Network Configurator starts, the following window is displayed.
