11 Cleaning
DANGER
Danger due to electrical voltage
There is the risk of a fatal electric shock if cleaning is not done properly.
• Switch off the machine, take the plug out of the socket, and allow the
machine to cool to room temperature before performing any cleaning
work.
• Never submerge the machine under water.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to hot surfaces
There is the risk of injury due to hot surfaces.
• Allow the machine and associated components to cool down completely
before performing any cleaning work.
Only perform the cleaning work set out in these operating instructions.
Improper cleaning could damage the machine and accessories.
For cleaning:
• Only use a soft, moistened, non-abrasive cloth.
• Do not use scouring agents or cleaning products that contain chlorine!
11.1 Cleaning the portalter, silicone attachment, and lters
Clean the portalter, silicone attachment, and lters daily. Do not put the
portalter in the dishwasher.
Removing the lter from the portalter
1. Hold the portalter in one hand.
2. Use the other hand to remove the lter from the holder.
Tip: The lters t very tightly in the portalter so that they cannot fall out
during operation. If the lter is very hard to take out, it is recommended that
you use your ngers to grip under the edge of the lter and then press it out
of the holder.
