12.2 Replacing the water lter
No reminder function is set for the machine by default. If the function is set
via the menu, a corresponding icon indicating that it is time to replace the
water lter appears after a preset amount of water has been used.

Information on the procedure and on the intervals for replacing the water lter
can be found in the manufacturer’s specications for the water lter used.
12.3 Replacing the brew group gasket
12.3.1 Required tools and accessories
• Cleaning brush
• Portalter without lter
• Spare gasket, not included in scope of delivery
• Flat-head screwdriver, not included in scope of delivery
• 3mm Allen key, not included in scope of delivery
12.3.2 Before replacement
1. Switch off the machine and disconnect the mains plug from the mains.
2. Allow the machine to cool down.
3. Empty (see Chapter 11.6, “Emptying the steam boiler”) and clean (see
Chapter 11, “Cleaning”) the machine.
4. Remove the grid and drip tray.
5. Unpack the spare parts and lay them out ready.
