13 Troubleshooting
The following overview contains information about possible faults and
measures to rectify these faults.
If faults that are not unambiguously described in these operating instructions
or that cannot be rectied with the described measures occur when using the
machine, do not use the machine and contact the dealer.
13.1 Machine faults
Fault Cause Solution
During initial start-up, the
pump is activated when
the pull button is pressed
but no water comes out of
the brew group.
Insufcient time for lling
the brew boiler.
It takes about 30seconds
for the brew boiler to ll
up and for water to come
out.
The machine does not
heat up during initial
start-up.
The boiler overll protec-
tion has been triggered.
Briey turn the machine
off and then on again.
The machine is switched
on but will not start oper-
ation.
The water tank has not
been installed correctly.
Install the water tank cor-
rectly (see Chapter 11.5.1,
“Orientation of the water
tank”)
Abnormal, loud pump
noise.
The water lter cartridge
is dry.
Soak the water lter
cartridge sufciently.
Follow the manufacturer’s
specications for the lter
used.
The machine is switched
on and draws air.
The water tank has not
been installed correctly.
Insert the water tank cor-
rectly (see Chapter 11.5.1,
“Orientation of the water
tank”).
The machine will not heat
up again after water has
been drawn from the hot
water wand.
The boiler overll protec-
tion has been triggered.
Briey turn the machine
off and then on again.
Check that there is
enough water in the tank
and rell if necessary (see
Chapter 9.4, “Filling the
water tank with water”).
The machine will not
switch on or off automat-
ically in spite of a timer
being set.
The circuit board battery
is at.
Deactivate the timer
functions (see Chapter
10.4.4, “Timer Enable”) and
contact the dealer.
