Removing the silicone attachment from the portalter
1. Hold the portalter in one hand.
2. Use the other hand to remove the silicone attachment from the holder.
Cleaning the lter, silicone attachment, and portalter
1. Remove the silicone attachment and lter from the portalter as
explained in the previous sections.
2. Clean the portalter, silicone attachment, and lter with warm water, a
food-safe washing-up liquid, and a soft cloth.
3. Allow the lter, silicone attachment, and portalter to dry completely.
4. Install the silicone attachment and lter in the portalter (see Chapter
9.6, “Inserting the silicone attachment and lters in the portalter”).
11.2 Cleaning the drip tray and grid
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to sharp edges
The edges of the drip tray and grid are sharp and may cause injuries.
Avoid pressing too hard on the edges.
Wipe over the edges carefully.
Empty the drip tray in good time. Do not wait until it is full to the brim.
Clean the drip tray and grid daily. Do not put them in the dishwasher.
1. Pull the drip tray forwards out of the machine. Remove the grid from the
drip tray.
2. Empty the drip tray over a sink.
3. Clean all parts with warm water, a food-safe washing-up liquid, and a
soft cloth.
4. Allow all parts to dry fully.
5. Install all parts in reverse order.
11.3 Cleaning the steam and hot water nozzles
WARNING
Risk of injury
There is a risk of injury when cleaning the steam and hot water nozzles due
to high temperatures.
Do not touch the steam wand, steam nozzle, hot water wand, or hot
water nozzle. Only touch them via the rubber handles.
