6.3 Starting to pump
The process from the start of forward pumping to the time at which a
continuous flow of material exits from the delivery line is known as
starting to pump. This can take place at the start of site use, but also
after breaks in pumping.
Pumping initially takes place without the delivery line. Ensure that a
small amount of water is present in the mixing pipe.
