7. Select EditPCP to define the capabilities of the HDCP device under.
The following is displayed on the 882’s LCD.
The following table describes the test parameters and their settings (gray = N/A).
Parameter Explanation
CTS Version Specifies whether you wish to test to the HDCP CTS 1.1
or HDCP CTS 1.2. Please note you will not be able to
select CTS 1.2 if the HDCP CTS 1.2 option is not
enabled on the 882EA.
DUT type Specifies the type of device under test. This can be one
of Sink, Source, Repeater3AB, or Repeater3C. For this
test, select Repeater3C.
Test Number Specifies which test to run. Or enables you to select all
tests. Please note that Quantum Data highly recom-
mends running the tests individually.
Repeater Max KSV
(This parameter only applies to the 3AB
repeater tests.)
Specifies the maximum number of KSVs the repeater
DUT can support. The valid values are 2 through 127.
Repeater Authentication Count
(This parameter only applies to the 3AB
repeater tests.)
Specifies the number of times a repeater DUT attempts
authentication before transitioning into the authentica-
tion state. The valid values are 1 or greater.
Repeater Out OnlyRep
(not used in HDCP CTS 1.2)
(This parameter only applies to the 3AB
repeater tests.)
Indicates whether the repeater DUT outputs content to
the downstream repeater that has no downstream
device connected. The values are + for yes and - for no.
Repeater CP&EDID HPD
(not used in HDCP CTS 1.1)
Indicates whether the repeater DUT supports the han-
dling of the Content Protection and EDID hot plug detect
signal. The values are + for yes and - for no.
Repeater Short Read Ri Indicates whether the repeater DUT will respond to
short reads of the Ri register. The values are + for yes
and - for no.
Repeater 1.1 Features Supported Indicates whether the supports Advanced_Cipher mode
and Enhanced Link Verification. The values are + for
yes and - for no.
Repeater Audio Support Indicates whether the repeater DUT supports audio out-
put. The values are + for yes and - for no.
