144 Chapter 13 Testing HDCP on HDMI
9. Select Repeater3C device by pressing the adjacent soft key to specify that the device
under test is a repeater.
Alternatively, you can specify the device under test as a repeater for the 3C test using
the following commands:
CPTX:DUTT 3 // specifies the device under test as a repeater
for the 3C test.
You can query the current value of the parameter with:
CPTX:DUTT? // returns the device under test type.
10. (Optional) Specify the remaining parameters in the EditPCP menu using the table
above.
Alternatively, you can specify the parameters through the command line as follows:
CPTX:CTSV 1.2 // specifies which HDCP CTS you wish to test to.
Values are 1.1 for CTS 1.1 and 1.2 for CTS 1.2.
CPTX:RCEH 1 // Indicates whether the DUT
(repeater) supports the content protection and
EDID hot plug signal.
Values are: 0 = no; 1 = yes.
Note 1: This parameter is not used when testing to
HDCP CTS 1.1.
CPTX:CRIP 0 // i
ndicates whether the repeater will respond
to short reads of the Ri register. The values
are 0 for yes and 1 for no (combined reads).
Note 1: For the 882CA you will have to run the
3C-I-01 and 3C-II-01 test using the command line
and both methods of the Ri read.
CPTX:RPFT 0 // indicates whether DUT (repeater) supports 1.1
features such as Advanced Cipher and Enhanced
Link Verification. 1 = yes; 0 = no.
CPTX:RPAS 0 // indicates whether DUT (repeater) supports audio
output. Values are: 1 = yes; 0 = no.
CPTX:RHPD 0 //
Indicates whether the repeater DUT have the
capability to signal HDCP_HPD by user
operation.
Values are: 1 = yes; 0 = no.
11. For the 3C-I-01 and the 3C-II-01 tests you will run the test for each of two Ri read
settings. You can either set this value through the command line or the front panel.
CPTX:CRIP 0 // Specifies short read.
CPTX:CRIP 1 // Specifies combined read.
Repeater HDCP HPD signal Indicates whether the repeater DUT has the capability
to signal HDCP_HPD by user operation. The values are
+ for yes and - for no.
Repeater Device Count of Zero
