TO USE THE SS-L SETUP TOOL

1 Access the Setup Tool using the appropriate key code combination outlined in

Ta bl e 17.

2 ADDR will display the value of the RCP address for the connected controller.

Press the or button to select the desired RCP address between 1–124.

Press the button to scroll to the next parameter.

3 BAUD will display the value of the baud for the connected controller. Press the

or button to select the desired baud for the network. Press the button

to scroll to the next parameter.

4 SUBNET will display a value of Yes or No. The value should display a Yes if the

controller resides on a subnetwork. The value should display a No if the

controller resides on a main network. Press the or button to select the

desired value. Press the button to scroll to the next parameter.

5 LAST will display a value of ---- or Last. The value should display a ---- if the

controller is not the highest physical address on an RCP or BACnet

network.

The value should display a Last if the controller is the highest physical address

on an RCP network. Press the or button to select the desired value. Press

the button to scroll to the next parameter.

BACnet

will display a value of Yes or No. The value should display a Yes if the

network communication protocol is BACnet

. The value should display a No if

the network communication protocol is RCP. Press the or button to select

the desired value. Press the button to scroll to the next parameter.

7 IMPORTANT: UPDATE will display a value of Yes or No. When the value

displayed is a No, any modified configuration parameters are being stored in the

SS-L buffer, and not sent to the controller. Press the button to send the

configuration parameter settings from the buffer of the SS-L to the controller. To

commit changes to the controller, allow the device to restart and confirm that the

changes have been made, keep the SS-L connected to the device and do not

make any additional changes until the UPDATE value has returned to No.
