The International ENERGY STAR
®
Office Equipment Program encourages energy
conservation by promoting energy efficient computers and other office equipment.
The program backs the development and dissemination of products that feature energy
saving functions.
It is an open program in which manufacturers participate voluntarily.
Targeted products are computers, monitors, printers, facsimiles, copiers, scanners, and
multifunction devices. Energy Star standards and logos are internationally uniform.
Never attempt to replace a battery on a printed circuit board. Replacing a battery
with the incorrect type could cause the battery to explode. If there is a problem with
a circuit board replace the entire board as a single unit.
Always obey the local laws and regulations regarding the disposal of used batteries,
PCBs and other electrical components.
