MMC 410 (Page 1 of 2)
MMC: 410 ASSIGN DISA TRUNK
DESCRIPTION:
Allows the system the ability to have Direct Inward System Access (DISA).
Because there is a possibility that unauthorised calls will be made via this feature,
several safeguards have been added. The end user must be informed of these to
prevent unnecessary service calls. DISA can lock out when a predetermined
number of invalid consecutive calls are attempted. Callers will then receive error
tone until the programmable timer has expired. The [ key may be used to initiate
new dial tone while in a station–to–station call. The # key may be used to
terminate the DISA call and disconnect the central office line. Only one central
office call will be allowed per DISA call but multiple intercom calls are possible. A
central office call requires a passcode, but a station call does not.
NOTE
In order to use DISA the caller must first dial a valid trunk number, followed by a four-digit passcode.
This passcode is defined in MMC 101. DISA users MUST change this passcode as the default
number cannot be used.
