2.2 Unpacking and Inspection
After unpacking the KSU, inspect for any signs of physical damage. If any damage is detected, do
not attempt to install. Contact the local distributor for advice.
Check to see that the Basic KSU carton includes the following items.
ü Basic Key Service Unit (KSU)
ü AC Power Cord
ü Wall-mount bracket
ü Spare fuses (AC: 250V 1.6AMP, DC: 250V 1.6AMP)
ü Cable ties and screws
ü Battery connection cable
ü SLT User’s Guide (Standard telephone)
ü System Administration Manual
2.3 Mounting the KSU (Figure 2-1)
DCS-816 can be wall-mounted and in that case the KSU should be mounted on a plywood
backboard at least 15 mm thick. Attach the wall-mount bracket to the backboard with the screws
supplied and hang the KSU on the bracket.
