7.3 Common Bell (Figure 7-3)
A customer-provided loud ringing device can be controlled by the general-purpose dry contact of
the DCS-816 system by means of the relevant program (MMC). Note that the dry contact is rated
24VDC, 1 Amp. The system requires MDF connection for the dry contact and the connection can
be made through the champ connector. See Figure 2-3 and refer to section 2.5 (MDF Cabling).
Using one pair twisted wires, connect a customer-provided loud bell to the general-purpose dry
contact via the champ connector on the base board.
