Operation by Communication

7-1 GPIB
This device supports GP-IB, RS-232C, and USB as means of communication.
Available commands vary according to the communication method used. Echo back at
command input, and the data retrieval method are also different. The setting method,
characteristics, and differences of each method are described below.
A communication function based on standards specied in IEEE-488.

Connection
Connect the 24-pin GPIB cable to the GPIB connector on the rear panel.
The total extension of the connected cable shall be 20 m or less. The cable length
between each device must be 2 m or less. At most, 15 devices can be connected.
CAUTION
Before inserting and extracting the connectors for the communication cables,
make sure to turn off the power to the device to avoid damaging the device.
