6.10 Checking the Position of the EM Grating
(1) With the TARGE removed, make sure that 0-order light is at the position marked A in the
figure.
* Part of the 0-order light may overlap the photomultiplier window.
(2) Enter "300" at "EM PULSE" and make sure that 0-order light is at the position marked B
in the figure. (A display is "EM PULSE 200")
* Part of the 0-order light may overlap the photomultiplier window.
* Note:
When the 0-order light is not at the position indicated, re-adjust the EM of the EM
Monochromator ASSY (228-45963-91) and the attachment position of the GR ASSY (228-
45964-91).
(Even though the incorrect positioning ensures completion of assembly, automatic
wavelength calibration is not possible since 0-order light is out of the scan range in
wavelength calibration, and the result of calibration becomes "NG".)
