Temp differential nominal
The speed of the heating circuit pump can be reduced in accordance with Operating
level, Characteristic, or Temp differential nominal.
Operating level
When using this option, the speed of the heating circuit pump is calculated based on
the operating level. The pump is controlled according to the Comfort level (incl.
optimization) or – during the time the Floor curing function is active – with the
parameterized maximum speed. In the case of the Reduced operating level, the pump
is controlled to the parameterized minimum speed.
Characteristic
The speed of the heating circuit pump is calculated based on the flow temperature
effectively received and the current flow temperature setpoint. The current temperature
of the common flow is used as the actual value. If no common flow sensor is installed,
the actual value of the boiler flow temperature is used. The actual value is damped by a
filter (time constant can be parameterized).
During the time the floor curing function is active, pump control ensures operation at the
parameterized maximum speed.
Temp differential nominal
When this setting is selected, the speed of the heating circuit pump is adjusted to the
set nominal increase (Temp differential nominal (2317)). The pump speed is modulated
so that a temperature differential equal to the set nominal increase is established in the
boiler. If the current temperature differential in the boiler is greater than this, the pump
speed is increased. If it is not, the pump speed is reduced.
The pump speed for the heating circuit pump is controlled by a PID controller using the
controller coefficients that have been set for the boiler pump (Speed Xp (2324), Speed
Tn (2325), Speed Tv (2326)).
The pump speed limit is based on the minimum and maximum speeds set for the
heating circuit pump.
If this modulation mode is set for multiple heating circuit pumps, the modulation of all
these pumps is synchronized within the set minimum and maximum speeds.
When DHW operation is active, the heating circuit pump is controlled using the set
minimum speed.
When the floor curing function is active, the heating circuit pump is controlled using the
set maximum speed.
