6.4.1 Assign parameters for KP32F
The SIMATIC Manager and HW Config are opened. A project was created with a KP32F.
In the following image, the slots that require parameter assignment are labeled in red.
Parameters for following slots are entered in the HW Config for the KP32F:
● Slot 0 – device identification

● Slot 1 - address area of the keys and LEDs 0 to 15 and light test on this slot
● Slot 2 - address area of the keys and LEDs 16 to 31
● Slot 3 - digital inputs
● Slot 4 - digital inputs/outputs
● Slot 5 - fail-safe digital inputs
The fail-safe slot is empty by default. Drag-and-drop a fail-safe input to this slot from the
hardware catalog.
