8.1 Prerequisites
To commission the device, you require a PC that meets the following requirements:
● Operating system Windows XP Professional SP 1 or higher
● An Internet browser with Java Runtime Environment, V1.2 or higher
– The user interface is optimized for viewing with Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and
Java Runtime Environment V.1.7.x.
● SIMATIC Primary Setup Tool (PST) is installed.
● There is a network connection via Ethernet TCP/IP.
