  If the Link LED on your Solid State Logic Recording Equipment isn't staying lit, there might be a cabling issue. First, ensure the RJ45 network connectors on both the console and your workstation are fully plugged in. If you're using a pin-pin cable for a direct connection, try swapping it out for a crossover cable. You might also want to try replacing the network cable altogether. If you're not using a direct connection with the default fixed IP address, try that configuration to eliminate problems with external routers or network switches.
