Note: Whenyoude-selectobjects,theyaredisplayed,bydefault,withcolors
representingthemodel-material.Evenafteraddingacoatingtoanobject,its
colorremainsthatofthemainmaterial,notthecolorofthecoatingmaterial.
Toinspect,modifyorremovethecoatingappliedtoanobject:
1. Onthe"ModelToolbar"ortheModel Settingsribbon,click .
TheCoat withdialogboxopens.
2. Performoneofthefollowingactions—
❒ Changethecoatingsettings,andclickApply.
❒ Toremovethecoating,cleartheCoat WithcheckboxandclickApply.
❒ Tokeepthecurrentcoatingsettings,clickApplyorCancel.
Positioning Objects on the Build Tray
Toproducemodelsefficientlyandwiththerequiredfinish,itisimportantto
carefullypositionobjectsonthetray.ObjetStudiosupportstheautomatic
positioningofobjects.However,youshouldchecktomakesurethatthe
objectsareorientatedoptimallyforyourneeds,accordingtothe
considerationsexplainedin"ManualPositioning"onpage5-33.
Twothingsthataffectthepositioningofobjectsonthetrayareorientation
andplacement.YoucanletObjetStudiodeterminetheoptimumorientation
andposition,oryoucancontrolthem.
Automatic
Orientation
Bydefault,ObjetStudioautomaticallyorientsobjects,whenplacedonthe
buildtray,fortheshortestprintingtime.(Youcanlaterchangethe
orientationmanually.)However,youcancancelautomaticorientationwhen
placinganobjectonthebuildtray.
Toplaceanobjectonthebuildtraywithoutautomaticorientation:
➢ IntheInsertdialogbox,makesureOrient Automaticallyisnotselected.
