2.2 COMMON MENU ITEMS
Refer to fig 2.2, following paragraphs explain the different submenus.
2.2.1 VELOCITY
The VELOCITY submenu is used to set or modify the velocity of the tool.
The default velocity is 700 mm/s (20 ips).
After pressing the
key, press the or jogging key until the desired speed
is displayed on the LCD and press
to confirm.
The velocity can be set between 50 mm/s (2 ips) and 800 mm/s (40 ips).
On the LCD, the active plotting speed is marked with an “*”.
2.2.2 TURBOCUT
The TURBOCUT submenu is used to enable or disable the TurboCut feature. TurboCut
is designed specifically to enhance the efficiency of drag-knife cutting. Throughput can
be increased by as much as 40 percent on most common vinyls. Some vinyls (for
instance sandblast) require that this parameter is set to OFF.
After pressing the
key, press the or jogging key to change the value.
The default value is set to OFF.
On the LCD, the active value is marked with an “*”.
2.2.3 PEN PRESSURE
The PEN PRESSURE parameter is used to set or modify the cutting pressure of the
pen.
The default pen pressure value is 80 grams.
After pressing the
key, press the or jogging key until the desired
pressure is displayed on the LCD and press
to confirm.
The pen pressure can be set between 0 and 400 grams.
The pen pressure value is set in 5 gram increments.
Pressure set-up is explained in detail in section 1.8.1.
On the LCD, the active pen pressure is marked with an “*”.
