2.3.8 EMULATE
The EMULATE submenu is used to select the active cutting/plotting language for the
cutter.
After pressing the
key, press the or jogging key until the desired
language is displayed on the LCD and press
to confirm.
The SummaCut Series supports DM/PL , HP/GL and HP/GL/2.
On the LCD, the active plotting language setting is marked with an “*”.
NOTE
The active cutting/plotting language MUST match the cutting software.
Always select a language that is supported by the host computer's cutting
software.
Whenever possible, select the DM/PL menu option to set the active cutting/plotting
language to Houston Instrument Digital Microprocessor/Plotting Language (DM/PL).
This selection will allow the cutter to operate with DM/PL-based cutting / plotting
software. This language, having special command extensions for cutting, normally
gives superior cutting performance.
2.3.9 USB CLASS
The USB CLASS can be set to STANDARD, PRINTER UNI or PRINTER BIDI. The
default USB class mode is STANDARD.
STANDARD mode is used for cutter drivers (either built in the design software or from
a bridge program like WinPlot).
PRINTER UNI and PRINTER BIDI is for use with printer adaptors with either network
or wireless connection
After pressing the
key, press the or jogging key until the desired USB
class is displayed on the LCD and press
to confirm. If the USB class has been
changed, then the cutter has to be rebooted.
On the LCD, the active USB class is marked with an “*”.
