2.3.23 COIL SETUP
This test is used to calibrate knife and pen pressure and to set the knife and pen
“landing”.
After adjustment, the value is saved in the system’s non-volatile RAM.
To execute this test a tension gauge of ± 100 gr. and ± 500 gr. is required.
In the upper line of the display the desired pressure appears and in the bottom line of
the display the value that has to be sent to the head to reach this pressure (this value
is between 0 and 127). Press the
key to enter the test and follow the guidelines
on the LCD screen.
CAUTION
Do not perform the coil test when the machine is working properly.
Changing the parameters to a wrong value may seriously affect the quality
and even damage the cutter.
2.3.24 CAL. MEDIA
The CALIBRATION MEDIA sub-menu is used to calibrate the sensitivity of the OPOS
sensor (Optical POsitioning System).
This calibration is normally done in the factory. When cutter refuses to read the
markers on a certain type of media, run this test.
First prepare on the actual media a square of about 2cm in the marker color and make
sure an equal size of media is untouched.
WARNING
KEEP FINGERS AND OTHER BODY PARTS AWAY FROM THE CUTTING
AREA. THERE ARE HAZARDOUS MOVING PARTS.
To perform the test press the
key. Then follow the instructions on the LCD.
2.3.25 CALIBRATION OPOS
The CALIBRATION OPOS sub-menu is used to calibrate the OPOS (Optical
positioning system).
This calibration is normally done in the factory. When the system is no longer working
precisely a calibration test must be performed. Calibration allows fixing the exact
distance between the knife tip and the sensor.
To perform the test press the
key. Then follow the instructions on the LCD.
