13-4 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
IGNITION COIL INSPECTION
• Remove the seat and fuel tank. (5-2)
• Measure the ignition coil electrical resistance.
 09900-25008: Multi-circuit tester
Tester knob indication: Resistance (W)

CDI UNIT INSPECTION
• Remove the seat. (5-2)
• Remove the CDI unit from the frame.
• Measure voltage between the lead wires with the multi-circuit
tester as shown in the illustration.

NOTE:
– is open circuit voltage (1.511 V).
Primary White/Blue – Ground 0.2 – 1.0 Ω
Secondary Plug cap – Ground 12 – 20 kΩ
Positive + probe pin (Diode terminal)
