STATOR COIL INSPECTION
• Remove the seat and fuel tank. (5-2)
• Disconnect the magneto lead wire coupler.
• Measure the stator coils electrical resistance.
09900-25008: Multi-circuit tester
Tester knob indication: Resistance (Ω)
MAGNETO ROTOR AND STATOR REMOVAL
AND REASSEMBLY
• Remove the screws and magneto cover.
• Remove the bolts and stator. Disconnect the lead wires.
• Remove the cylinder and piston. (6-3 and -4)
• Hold the conrod with the special tool and loosen the nut.

• Remove the magneto rotor with the special tools. Remove the
key.

Black/Red – Black/White 240 – 380 Ω
Red/White – Black/White 140 – 230 Ω
Black/Red – Red/White 100 – 160 Ω
