CRANKSHAFT INSPECTION
• Measure the crankshaft runout with V-blocks and dial gauge.
Crankshaft runout
Service Limit: 0.05 mm (0.002 in)
09900-20607: Dial gauge (1/100 mm)
09900-20701: Magnetic stand
09900-21304: V-block
NOTE:
Place the crankshaft onto the V-blocks so that it becomes hori-
zontally.
Measure the runout from the tips of the crankshaft.
• Measure the crankshaft web to web width with a vernier cali-
pers.
Width between webs
Standard: 44.9 – 45.1 mm (1.767 – 1.775 in)
OIL SEAL INSPECTION, REMOVAL AND
INSTALLATION
• Inspect each oil seal lip for wear and damage.
• Remove the oil seal with the special tool.
