Sanding
DANGER Explosion hazard due to abrasive dust.
▶ Remove adhesive and dope only in explosion proof rooms with
exhaustion device.
WARNING Poisoning hazard due to abrasive dust.
▶ Wear externally ventilated protective clothing, protective goggles,
chemical resistant gloves and respiratory mask when removing
adhesive and dope.
Basic material of the part must not be diminished when sanding.
NOTICE C/K stiffener K roving tend to rise up from the surface at sanding.
▶ Do not sand through up to the stiffener, especially in case of c/k
stiffener in the basic part.
▶ Use dry sanding equipment with suction from the sanding area.
▶ Use Al2O3 or equivalent (fused corundum) as sanding material.
▶ Sand or eventually seal the surface after setting the mixture and
possible tearing of the used polyethylene.
▶ Start sanding with grain size up to 160 and finish with grain size of at
least 400.
