Key switch removal
1. Turn Tow/Run switch to TOW.
Please refer to Chapter 1 “Protection for Electrical
Safety”.
2. Take out the key from the key switch.
3. Apply the parking brake.
4. Remove the middle electrical regaining plate.
5. Pull out the instrument panel slowly (Note: do not
pull apart the connecting wire of the instrument
panel), pull out the wire of the key switch until the
plug-in package connecting the key switch wire to
the main cable appears, disengage the plug-in
package of the key switch wire from that of the
main cable.
6. Hold the key switch and remove the switch lock
nut from outboard of instrument panel.
7. Check。
Refer to “Check Procedure 6—Circuit check for
key switch and accelerator pedal switch” of
Chapter 10, replace the part in case of any
inconsistency.
