Chapter 9
Removal of forward/reverse gear switch
1. Turn Tow/Run switch to TOW
Please refer to Chapter 1 “Protection for Electrical
Safety”.
2. Take out the key from the key switch.
3. Apply the parking brake.
4. Remove the middle electrical regaining plate.
5. Remove the connecting wire from gear switch.
6. Press the snap locks on the upper and lower
ends of the switch, push switch out of the
housing.
7. Check:
Continuity of the gear switch.
Refer to “Check Procedure 10—forward/reverse
gear switch” of Chapter 10, replace the part in
case of counter conditions.

NOTE:
The red, black/yellow and blue/white wires must
be connected correctly at relevant positions on
the gear switch.

1. Turn Tow/Run switch to TOW

2. Take out the key from the key switch.
3. Apply the parking brake..
4. Remove the middle electrical regaining plate.
