Environmental Consideration
â–ª bright blue (VBB), the VBB-NRI and the VBB-RI must be installed indoors within the protected premises in
a clean and a dust free environment.
â–ª Ambient temperature: 32F to 120F (0 C to 49C)
â–ª Relative Humidity: 85%, +/- 5%
Cable Requirement Chart
The chart below gives the recommended distance between the bright blue controller and the devices it connects
to. All cabling and wire should be UL Listed and/or Recognized wire suitable for the application.
â–ª Power supply input line transient protection complying with the Standard for Transient Voltage Surge
Suppressors, UL 1449, with a maximum marked rating of 330 V.
â–ª RS-485 communication line(s) must have signal line transient protection complying with the Standard for
Protectors for Data Communications & Fire Alarm Circuits, UL 497B, with a standard marked rating of 50 V.
