Silence an Alarm
To silence an alarm, touch the Silence radio button at the top of the panel. The time the alarm will remain silenced varies
depending on the UPS type, type of alarm, and configuration.
Inverter On
The Inverter On menu item is available whenever the UPS has input power and the inverter is Off. Before executing the
command, verify that the UPS is prepared for the inverter to start. Liebert® APM Plus Touchscreen Control Panel will display a
message asking for confirmation and noting that it may take a moment to start (see Figure 5.17 below). The control will display
a progress window while the inverter starts.

Inverter Off
The Inverter Off menu item is available whenever the UPS has input power and the inverter is Off. Before executing the
command, verify that the UPS and connected load are prepared for the inverter to be shut down.
N O T E: Risk of im proper operation can cause load drop resulting in equipm ent dam age. The Inverter
O ff w ill shut off pow er to the connected lo ad unless bypass pow er is available. Before executing this
com m and, verify that the connected load is either shut off or that input pow er to the load will b e
supp lied by another source, such as bypass.
