Replacement Procedures for the Printer
Procedures: Print Engine
Platen Drive Motor Belt
Step 1. With a TORX T10 driver, remove the two screws holding the platen drive
motor in place.
Step 2. From the bottom of the printer, pull the motor out from the belt.
Step 3. Remove the belt from the drive pulley.
Important • Make sure to identify which motor—16-tooth or 20-tooth—is in place so
the correct replacement belt is used. To identify the motor, count the teeth on the
drive gear.
The replacement belt can be identified by the printing on the outside of the belt.
The belt for the 16-tooth motor has the part number—P1028548-001—printed on it as
shown below:
