Contents of this chapter
This chapter describes the intended audience and contents of the manual. It
contains a flowchart of steps in examining the delivery, installing and
commissioning the drive. The flowchart refers to chapters/sections in this manual
and other manuals.
Target audience
This manual is intended for people who plan the installation, install, commission
and do maintenance work on the drive, or create instructions for the end user of
the drive concerning the installation and maintenance of the drive.
Read the manual before you work on the drive. You are expected to know the
fundamentals of electricity, wiring, electrical components and electrical schematic
symbols.
Purpose of the manual
This manual provides information needed for planning the installation, installing,
and servicing the drive.
Categorization by frame size and option code
The frame size identifies information which concerns only a certain frame size of
the drive. The frame size is shown on the type designation label. All frame sizes
are listed in the technical data.
