The ControlSignal changes (DeltaU) are buffered internally in the Three State
Pulse block. When the sum of the accumulated changes becomes greater than the
buffer threshold mentioned above, the block activates one of the outputs (Increase
or Decrease).
As long as the control error is less than the value defined by DeadBand, the
internal buffers are emptied, and no output is activated.
There is an internal interlock that prevents the block from changing active outputs
more often than once every two seconds.
When a Three State Pulse output is configured, the following conditions apply:
• If feedback is used the FeedbackSignal input is used for indication as the
controller Output signal on the Output bar graph and on the display.
• If feedback is not used and the controller is in manual mode, an Inc/Dec
indication is shown in the Output menu.
• The ControlSignal Limit function is not available.
Note: If a Three State Pulse output with no actuator feedback is configured, no
signal is displayed on the Output bar graph. If a Three State Pulse with output with
actuator feedback is configured, the actuator feedback signal is displayed on the
Output bar graph.
