Removal, gearbox
The procedure below details how to remove gearbox, axis 6.
Action Note
1.
DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and
pneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots:
Do not turn off the air pressure to motors and
SMB.
2. Drain the oil from gearbox, axis 6. Detailed in the section Oil change,
gearbox axis 6 on page 180.
3. Remove the turning disk. Detailed in the section Removal,
turning disk on page 261.
4. Remove the gearbox by unscrewing its 18
attachment screws.
Shown in the figure Location of gearbox
on page 382.
5. If required, apply M8 screws to the holes
shown in the figure beside to press the gearbox
out.

6. Remove the gearbox axis 6 by lifting it out
carefully.
Be careful not to damage the motor
pinion!
