Figure 1-39 illustrates the
operation of the sequence op eration state.
The downward entrance to the Sequence Operation State signals
that some instrument dependent action should b egin at once. An
upward exit is not allo wed until the instrument signals that its
action is complete. Note that complete can be dened dierently for
dierent instruments. For example, consider an instrument that can
sweep a range of frequencies starting with f
1
and ending with f
2
. The
action-complete signal can be dened to coincide with the output of
either f
1
or f
2
.
