Description
This hardkey allows access to the mo dulation functions. The
following typ es of mo dulation are available:
AM Amplitude mo dulation is accepted from an external
source at the AM connector. The AM can b e
scaled either linearly or exp onentially.Swept signal
generators with Option 002 also have the capability
of internally synthesizing amplitude mo dulation in
sine, square, triangle, ramp, or noise waveforms.
Deep AM (a distortion reduction mo de) can b e
selected for use when op erating at a deep amplitude
mo dulation level.
FM Frequency mo dulation is accepted from an external
source at the FM connector. The FM can be either
AC-or DC-coupled. Swept signal generators with
Option 002 also have the capabilityofinternally
synthesizing frequency mo dulation in sine, square,
triangle, ramp, or noise waveforms.
