APPENDIX G BROWSER COMPATIBILITY
If using Internet Explorer you must disable the caching of web pages.
To disable caching with Microsoft Internet Explorer V7
1 Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu. The Internet Options window opens.
2 On the General tab, in the Browsing History group, Click Settings. The Settings window opens.
3 Make sure that the “Check for newer versions of stored pages” option is set to Every time I visit the
web page.
4 Click OK to close the Settings window.
5 Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
To disable caching with Microsoft Internet Explorer (v5 only)
1 Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu. The Internet Options window opens.
2 Click Settings in the Temporary Internet files group. The Settings window opens.
3 Make sure that the Check for newer versions of stored pages option is set to Every visit to the
page.
4 Click OK to close the Settings window.
5 Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
To disable caching with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 to 5
1 Choose Internet Options from the View menu. The Internet Options window opens.
2 In the General tab’s Temporary Internet Files group, click the Settings button. The Settings
window opens.
3 Make sure that the Check for newer versions of stored pages option is set to Every visit to the
page.
4 Click OK to close the Settings window
5 Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
To disable caching with Microsoft Internet Explorer on Mac OS
1 Choose Preferences from the Edit menu. The Internet Explorer Preferences window opens with a
list of preference categories on the left side of the window.
2 Locate and click Advanced (listed under Web Browser). The advanced options for the browser
are displayed in the right side of the window.
3 In the Cache group, choose Always for the Update pages option.
4 Click OK to save your options and close the window.
