18.5 BIS Setting
18.5.1 BIS Parameter Setting
Select BIS Smoothing Rate
Select Parameter Option. Open the 【 BIS Setup 】 menu. Select 【 BIS
Smoothing Rate】. There are 3 modes for selecting:【10s】,【15s】 and【30s】.
Smoothed Rate decides how the average of BIS data is calculated by the
monitor. The smaller the value is, the more sensitive the response of the
monitor to changes in patients’ status will be. The larger the value is, the
smoother the BIS tendency will be, which indicates smaller changes and a less
impact of artifacts.
EEG Filter
Select Parameter Option. Open the【BIS Setup】menu. Select【EEG Filter】.
All filtering can be switched between ON and OFF by selecting the button
“ON/OFF”.
Trend Time
Select Parameter Option. Open the【BIS Setup】 menu. Select 【Trend
Time
】
. There are 4 modes for selecting:

and
【2h】. The function of power-off protection is supported.
Impedance Check
Select Parameter Option.Open the
【
BIS Setup
】
menu. Select
【Impedance Check】. Both 【Manual】 and 【Auto】inspection modes can
be selected.

Wave Scale
Select Parameter Option.Open the 【 BIS Setup 】 menu. Select 【 Wave
Scale
】
. Five modes can be selected: 25uV/div, 50 uV/div, 100 uV/div, 250
uV/div and 500 uV/div;
