•
Cut the cable harness clamp (if there is
one), disconnect the cable harness
connector and pull the cable harness
away from the mirror.
•
Loosen the nut so its upper surface is
about 0.5 mm (0.02 in) above the end
of the threaded pin.
•
Put some Loctite 270 inside the nut.
•
Screw the nut back down until its upper surface is about 0.5 mm - 1 mm (0.02 in - 0.04 in)
away from the end of the pin.
•
Wait 24 hours for the Loctite to dry well before moving the mirror.
