Mechanical Layout of a Cable Routing
Minimum bending radius: (see Fig. 10)
5 cm for a standard IEEE1394 cable up to 5 m and
7 cm for an OKI IEEE1394 cable wit a lengths of 15, 20 or 30 m.
If your cable has an over length, please roll it up with the recommended diameter
D
rec
of 30 cm inside the cabinet.
Information
More details about maximum number of channels, sampling rates and
network-delay times see the release notes of the according automation system
or contact the AVL pruduct management.
NOTICE
Please do not undershoot the minimum bending radius R
min
of the cables!

NOTICE
Avoid causing any mechanical stress to the IEEE1394 cables!
While working on the cable, note that pulling forces greater than 50 N can
damage it!
If you use wire straps, do not squeeze the cables or pinch them off. Fasten
the wire straps carefully!
All cable connectors must be fastened to the F-FEM housing with
screw-type locking.
The IEEE1394 cables must not be cut off or elongated by soldering!
Repeaters must be used instead!
A harmed cable is permanently damaged and must be replaced with a new
