Installation
You can mount the ACS 5000 console server on a wall, rack or cabinet or place it on a desktop or
other flat surface. Two brackets are supplied with six hex screws to connect the brackets to the
console server.

Mount the Console Server
To perform the following procedure, use a Phillips screwdriver and the screws provided with
brackets plus the appropriate nuts and bolts for the rack.
To rack mount the console server:
1. Install the brackets to the front or back edges of the ACS 5000 console server using a
screwdriver and the screws provided with the mounting kit.
2. Mount the console server in a secure position.
Make an Ethernet Connection
Connect an Ethernet cable from the 10/100BaseT port to an Ethernet hub or switch.
