Reference Battery: T2-2 & T2-1
These 2 terminals are for connection to an external 12V rechargeable battery. The battery is
trickle charged when ac mains input power is present. During a power outage, this battery is
used to power the card and the Reader Board and/or I/O Cards within the same enclosure for
a limited duration depending on the total current consumption of the system hardware.
Reference DC 12V Output & DC 5V Output: T3-4 & T3-3, T3-2 & T3-1
These 2 terminal blocks outputs a voltage supply of 12VDC and 5VDC (see NOTICE). It sup-
plies power supply to CPU Card within the same enclosure.
17.2 18VAC Power Supply Card for Access Easy Extension Unit
This is a simplified version of the 18V AC Input Power Supply Card for the Main Controller Unit
that was mention in the above. It utilized the same card but does not provide any 5VDC and
12VDC, only 15VDC supply is provided.
The following shows the layout of the 18V AC Input Power Supply Card used for Access Easy
Extension unit.

NOTICE!
The maximum current drawn is protected by an electronic fuse rated at 1A for 12VDC and 3A
for 5VDC.
