5.13 Error Codes
Please note:
The following error messages are not caused by the Bosch eBike system, but by the switch system. In the event
of a service case, contact the gear system manufacturer.

0x580002 580 Software version error. Battery software not up to date.

Transmission authentication error: Transmission could not be identified
correctly. Motor support off or delayed in the starting phase. Walk Assist
or Drive-Off-Mode not available, no gear shift.

Transmission authentication error: Transmission could not be identified
correctly. Only use original gearbox. Switch off eBike, remove battery,
replace battery, restart eBike.

Play-back Nyon software does not support eShift function.
Perform Nyon software update.
0x593001 593
Bicycle is not intended for eShift. Incorrect hardware container. No motor
support and no gear shift possible. Contact the bicycle OEM.

Shimano Di2 RearDerailleur is not supported by the system. Switch from
the Shimano Di2 RearDerailleur to the Shimano DI2 Hub system.

CAN communication error: No gearbox communication, no eShift indica-
tor. Turn the system off and then back on again. Check cables and con-
nectors. Use the manufacturer's diagnostic tool to perform a gearbox
diagnostics. Replace the transmission system electronics.

Lost CAN communication: No gearbox communication, no eShift indica-
tor. Turn the system off and then back on again. If Error 595 is displayed,
note the corresponding error description.
