NOTICE:Topreventpossibledamagetothetransmission
hydraulicclutches,neverusethedisconnectswitchfor
inchingthemachineforward.Inchingthemachinefor-
wardwiththebuttonwillcausetheclutchestoslipexces-
sivelyandoverheat.
Tomakedownwardgearratiochangesorreduceground
speed,simplylowertheenginespeed,depressandhold
thegearshiftleverbuttonanddownshiftthetransmission.
Whenthedesiredgearratiohasbeenselectedrelease
thebuttonandadjusttheenginespeedtosuitground
speedrequired.Operatingthemachineintoohighagear
underaheavyloadwillcausethetorqueconvertertoslip
excessivelyandoverheat.Ifengineisoverloadedthe
converterwillslipandstallbringingthemachinetoacom-
pletestop.Ifthemachineisoverloaded,theenginespeed
willnotexceedarangeof1800-2200RPMatmaximum
acceleratorandthetorqueconverterwill“stall”,bringing
themachinetoacompletestop.
If“stall”doesoccur,thereisstillsufcientenginepower
tooperatetheloaderattachment,however,topreventthe
transmissionfromoverheating,eitherreducetheloadon
themachineorselectalowergearratio.
NOTICE:Operatinginstalledconditionformorethan20s
cancausethetransmissiontooverheatandpossiblydam-
agethetransmission.ShiftboththePower-Shuttlelever
andthegearshiftlevertoneutral.Lettheenginerunat
idleuntiltransmissionoilcoolsdownenoughtohavethe
transmissiontemperaturewarninglightgooff,allopera-
tionscannowberesumed.
