Removing Water and
Sediment from the Fuel
System
Drain the water for the fuel filter after
every 50 hours of operation. Drain the
water and sediment from the fuel tank
after every 500 hours of operation.
1. Turn the drain valve on the fuel
filter counterclockwise 2 or 3 turns
and drain the water from the fuel
filter.

2. Close the drain valve.
3. Use a large enough container and
drain water and sediment from the
fuel tank. Dispose of water and
sediment properly.

Fuel Filter
Replace the fuel filter after every 250
hours of operation.
1. Clean the filter head and the
outside of the fuel filter.

2. Turn the filter counterclockwise
and remove the filter. Discard the
filter.
3. Apply a thin layer of clean oil to the
gasket on the new filter.
4. Install the filter. Use your hands to
tighten the filter 1/2 to 3/4 turn after
the filter makes contact with the
filter head.
IMPORTANT: Do not use a filter
wrench when installing a new filter.
