Battery Fluid Level
Check the fluid level of the batteries
every 250 hours of operation. If the
fluid level is low, add clean or distilled
water to each cell until the fluid level is
at the split ring at the bottom of each
cell opening.
IMPORTANT: If the temperature is
32°F (0°C) or below and you have
added water to the batteries, do the
following; Connect a battery charger to
the batteries or operate the machine for
approximately two hours. This
procedure is necessary to mix the
water with the electrolyte.
Battery Vents
Keep the battery vents clean, make
sure the vents are not restricted.
Cleaning the Batteries
Check the batteries regularly for dirt,
corrosion and damage. Dirt mixed with
electrolyte or moisture on the top of the
batteries can cause a discharged
condition in the batteries. Use one of
the following methods to clean the
batteries.
1. Use Case Battery Saver, Part
Number M20376. Follow the
instructions on the container. This
cleaner does not need water.
2. Use baking soda or ammonia and
flush the outside of the batteries
with water. If you do not have Case
Battery Saver, use other special
cleaners to prevent corrosion on
the battery terminals.
